Getting Here
Gouvia Marina, Corfu (Pontoon N15)
Getting here couldn’t be easier. We’re just 15 minutes from Corfu International Airport – only 3 hours from the UK, with direct flights from airlines such as BA, Easyjet, Ryanair and many more. Corfu is also served by direct flights from all over Europe, including Russia.
Hop in a cab at the taxi rank right outside the airport terminal (the fare should be €20), and in 15 minutes you’ll be at the famous Gouvia Marina, the first privately-owned marina in Greece.
Meeting point
We meet up at the ‘Blue Cafe’ in Gouvia marina (Swimming Pool Bar), at 5pm on the Sunday of your arrival, (Monday if you are are taking part in an RYA course), here you’ll be met by your friendly skipper Captain Rick Driscoll, with a bottle of something fizzy to celebrate the start of your holiday on your beautiful yacht. He’ll show you to your cabins, familiarise you with the boat and chat about your needs and expectations.
We’ll spend the evening in the marina, enjoying dinner at one of our favourite tavernas. Then next morning, after stocking the yacht with your chosen supplies and a safety briefing, we usually head out of the marina between 11 and 12.
Provision-buying service
From 2013 we introduced a provision-buying service for our clients, which proved very popular. This season the provision buying service is being supplied by a new company Breezy Provisioning run by Morag, saving you both time and stress on provisioning Blue Planet for your holiday.
You simply complete an online order form for all the food and drink you’d like for the trip, and the lovely Morag will bring it to the boat, and collect payment before we set off, her fees are included in the prices. We highly recommend using this service, as it will save you a lot of time and effort, please email Morag to request a shopping list info@breezy-provisioning.com
We usually find €200 worth of provisions is more than enough for a week of breakfasts and lunches aboard for 6-8 people, and don't forget the essential drinking water.
If you prefer we are served well by a large local supermarket, and in practice many guests provision the boat from there on Monday morning before we leave harbour.
